Sure, it’s “worse” than NV in almost every aspect and it’s significantly shorter, but I’m fine with that since I just don’t have the time to invest into 100 hour RPGs like I used to. Honestly, as a big fan of New Vegas and 3D Fallout in general, I’m really enjoying The Outer Worlds. The games that I recently enjoyed are High on Life, Chained Heroes (though I hope to finish it in 20-25 hrs, it really hits the right triggers, really enjoy), Fenyx Rising, Dead Cell (on switch - modded it, and lost interest instantly), Nobody Saves the World, I would need to find the list of the success I earned to remember those other games. Now if I want to focus on a game, I just leave the phone away. Also ADD doesn't help with focusing on one thing. I'm glad I discovered that a game pass subscription can be easily shared (check my posts for how-to), so I don't need to resub as my sub just expired. Now I can be playing a game that I enjoy, I'll just put the controller down and scroll reddit until the console shuts off, and I instantly power it back up, just to repeat the same 10 minutes later, not even enjoying the time spent on reddit either. I've read that depression reduces enjoyment of things. I finished Ghost of Tsushima, but I was really anxious for the end to be near as I was really bored, and at the same time, enjoying it.
Some games I'll devour them, spend countless hours (Satisfactory on PC - 650+ hours over two years), but I enjoy finishing games, so I keep playing them, but I must fight boredom to finish. Man, I completely see myself in your comment.
